Products page not showing

hey all - have been trying to get this to work for over 2 hours, so I figure it's time to ask for help. Downloaded and installed the newest version and when I went to add products, it's just a blank page. Nothing shows in the page source. I can view the categories page, and add, but not the product page.

I have checked my chmod permissions and have followed the about file to the letter (not that there is much there)

I also dithered about with the php files for a bit, trying to see if there is an error somewhere that I could fix - but I couldn't find anything. Nothing I do seems to make the products page show up. I have actually given many different files/folders 777 access, to no avail.

I then deleted quick.cart and downloaded the old version 3.0 and tried that - same problem. Products page doesn't show.

Please, someone tell me what is wrong and help me to get it working!
(File server I have everything on also runs MySQL databases and cron jobs, so I don't believe it's a server issue with things not set up right.)

that is a server+php config. problem - i've had the same problem on an free server(php ect) then i've put it on another one and works fine.

Its a bit beyond the scope of here, but what sort of server setup are you running?

Sorry my bad knowlegde, but what do you mean about "server setup"? I can tell you that my site is hosted by www.b-one.net if that will help you?:)

Hi,

I cannot get the products submissions page on admin to work either.. and i have the latest version of php installed.

Comes back with thefollowing error:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/funkyj00/public_html/cart/core/products-admin.php on line 1

I have tried to re-install the cart again, but still fails to work correctly. A real shame, as it looks great, just a shame it doesnt work.

Well, it didnt take long........ in the core/products-admin.php on line 1 is where the error is located. delete the php on the first line and all you have is :

<?

I also had to CHMOD the php files in my core folder from 644 to 755

heh i've never heard of php having an issue with the proper line <?php thats first time ever seeing that, i dont know about the permissions on root files of the script i changed anyway before testing but it works now.. stu pid but simple solution
