Protecting Config files from Hackers

I saw this part in the installation/configuration section:

"- $config[’dir_*’] - in tables, that keys started from “dir_” are stored information about folders, i.e.: databases, or files. Before site start you can change it to protect site for hackers."

I've looked at the file "config/general.php" but I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to do. Can anyone briefly explain to me what this means?

Thanks, Jonothing

You can change name of folder where You keep data fe: from "db" to "protect_db". When You use default names person who knows our script knows it structure too. When You change these folders You make Your script more safety..

I imagine that means you need to change any code that references that directory as well. Is that true? Is it just the files in the "config" directory or are there others?
