Use left column for content

Hello, I'd like to use the left column to show a vertical row of pictures (different ones on every page) instead of a menue.
How can I do that? Can I connect a unique php-include to the left column of every page, which integrates the markup for the pictures?
Other solution?

You can use prepare code in file templates/container.tpl but if You want to have possibility to add pictures using panel admin You should delete left column at all and change a little template of pages_default.tpl.
