In the subpages drop down list I have a choice of gallery, name and pic, how does that work

You sellect how subpages are shown. You create root page and select one of the options from the dropdown menu. Afterwards you create one or more subpages for this catergory. When you select root menu in frontend, you will se how subpages are shown. if you sellect gallery, subpages will show image and name, but if you sellect news, the template will change to show smaller image, date, name and short description.


subquestion for advanced users. How can one create another template for subpages?
