breadcrumb - sPagesTree - How to include?

We are using the Free Version 4 (purchased version is ordered) for creating our new website until the full version is delivered.
Is it possible to include a breadcrumb-navigation with sPagesTree or on another way?
If I include <h4>$aData[sPagesTree]</h4> into container.tpl, no output appears.

To make sure ... you want to display navigation in container.tpl not in pages_default.tpl ?
