how can i change the length of the cms ? the original length is to small for me

Use search option this problem is quite popular.. You have to edit some lines in templates/default.css.. You can also look here: http://opensolution.org/Quick.Cms/docs/?id=design

In templates/default/style.css change "width:960px;" with what you want:

#head1, #head3, #head2{width:960px;margin:0 auto;text-align:left;}
#body .container, #foot .container{width:960px;margin:0 auto;text-align:left;}
#foot .container{width:960px;margin:0 auto;padding:22px;background:#014973;overflow:hidden;}

This will work on QuickCMS-v4.0, default installation.
