Can't save changes

Suddenly it's not possible to save changes made in admin e.g. move a page from one menu to another menu. I have checked the chmod it's set to 777 for the db, files and config folders.
Any of you have an idea of what could cause this problem? Is there perhaps a limit of the size of the files folder? Or a limit of the size of the whole site?

Solved!
The webhotel had upgrade to PHP version 5.4.0 a while ago.
Downgrading to 5.3.10 solved the problem.
