Hi friends
My eshop has now no more than 350 products and the **_products_ext.php file is 1002 kb.
I can add new products but i can't edit the old products.
If i edit offline the "**_products_ext.php" and then upload the file to the server the changes works fine, but i'm unable to edit the old products from Admin CP.
Any ideas?
Is there any file size limitation for the "**_products_ext.php" file?
Thank you in advance

You set write permissions to 777 for that file?

Or did you delete old language file perhaps?

"db" folder is on 755, the file itself is "644"
I repeat that I can add new products using the admin CP but i can't edit old products

You mentioned you are using version 3:

Look into your textfile HowToInstall > writing permission 777 for folders (including files) db, files and lang

I change permissions and my eshop stop working, i get errors and i lost some sales...
I change back to 755 & 644 and everything works again.

My problem still the same i can't edit products (and after the last permission modifications i can't even ada new products or pages)

OK friends i just found what to do.

I'm not sure what cause the problem but i think that the main reason is that my "**_products_ext.php" file is more than 1 MB and this cause problems.
Maybe limitations on my server? I'm not sure.

I search the forum once again and try 10th different ways to solve the problem.
Finally o found a post talking about a case where the user was unable to add or edit products, but in his case on an eShop with many many products (more than 1000 products with more than 2000 photos).
Another user advice to change (disable) the "show files on server" option in configuration tab.
I do so and now i'm able to edit old products and add new products!
Nothing to do with change the permissions on files or folders on server!

I hope this help any other users with the same problem.

@treewood
There was no errors or any other signal that there is a problem.
Actually i was able to open the products for editing via my CP, then after editing completion i was click on "save" button but nothing happen...
I get the same (old) data again and again - no change at all!
