upgrade to paid quick.cart.ext v4.0 from v3.7

Is there any howto for upgrade to commercial version? Are there any incremental patches to apply? Or is it necessary to upload new version, unzip, convert db files etc.?

I've made some slight modifications in the free version (3.7), will there be any possibility to modify the scripts after installation? Possibility to change sources is a must (only core sources).
