it's not adding to the basket at all. It can display [empty] basket page but adding anything to it is impossible.
Try to replace everything in actions_client/ directory with default install files. Should be a matter of 5 seconds. Then try it again.
I have tried putting products into basket in another language (pl) but it doesn't work either, http://www.printportal-detmold.de/?pl_namioty,6 That's actually good news because it indicates that the bug is most probably not in database or in setup files.
You should take your shop and put it on some other server. If it works there, then your server has problems with posting values via POST (but that can only be confirmed using FTP access) or redirecting. The search problems you mention indicate it.
i've changed it, but it doenst help.. :-( It seems that i have more problems, because when you visit my shop with safari oder google chrome, the utf code is wrong.. So when i have a word like: "schön" it will displayed like this: schön ...
Now, i've downloaded the version 4 of quick cart, and try to make all new.. Maybe i will buy the Quickcart pro, if i get the 50% offer, cause i translate the new german language file from english..

I had a lot of problems with blank pages when I used Dreamweaver CS2 as editor. No matter if I had encoded UTF-8 without BOM. The problem always appeared using Dreamweaver CS2. Upgrading to Dreamweaver CS5 solved the problem. But you must have encoded UTF-8 without BOM. So if you can't upgrade then try another editor.
Printportal, schau Dir an und vergleiche die Dateien xx_products.def.php in Ordner /db/ von den Versionen 3.x und 4.0 So wirst Du feststellen dass es Änderungen gibt. Daher es ist nicht einfach copy&paste, sonder man muss schon ein wenig hand anlegen. Oder... gehe zur "download" --> "other" ---> database converter 3.x - 4.x :-)
