Forgot password and went into config/general file

I changed my username and password and thought I saved it in my computer but apparently not. I tried a few different passwords I thought it might be but nothing is working.

I went into the config/general.php file like I saw on here on other topics about forgotten passwords. When I looked around it said login-admin and pass-admin. It never changed to the one I wanted a few days ago. I tried the admin/admin and that's not working. Is there any other ways? And if I downloaded the new quick cart would it overwrite the other cart and password?

are you using QC EXT? because it may be that you need to use some lower admin login/pass to get into admin.

Also it may be that you have a session problem. Please show us your test installation so we can check it out.

I figured it out thanks. I had to "get" the config/general.php file so it would refresh the code.
First, it was showing me the page from when I first installed it- that's why it said admin and admin as the login. Then, I refreshed (get) the file and it showed me the correct name and password from when I changed it a few days ago.
