I am running Quick.Cart v4.0 and when I process orders I get:

403 Forbidden - You don't have permission to access this document

Did You select page with order form in Settings -> Pages tab?

Yes, this is set as "Order form"

The whole Quick.Cart works fine on my development machine running XAMPP but does not work on the live system.

It does not matter what page I select for "Page with order form" the error is still the same on the live system.

Hello,

Yes I have changed the file permission on ALL files to 777 and installed a clean downloaded version without any changes and the effect is the same. I am wondering if there is a php.ini setting causing this problem on the server.

I think this has something to do with mod_security rules

try to remove/rename any htaccess files there may be anywhere on your site. And try the order_form page.

I will try removing .htaccess files and see if this works.

I have opned the order_form page by direct access. It is the transition between the basket and the order_form pages when the 403 issues appears.
