Mandatory fields in Order/delivery page

1. I know how to remove fields via orders_form.tpl. But how can I remove field requirements? Only mandatory fields I need are Name and Email. I have managed to do so in older versions, but those solutions dont seem to work in new version.

I think it is function checkFields in core/orders.php. You should have searched the forum and FAQ. This is a common question.

Also, don't forget to set CSS for the fields not to be 'bold' as mandatory.

Searched. Modifying checkFields only did not work, I also needed to remove alt="simple" behind each field in orders_form.tpl. I didnt know that last part but now I do and its working.

Any ideas how to remove quantities from backend? Every item I sell is unique so quantities might disturb customers.
