Subcategories shown in main content page

All of a sudden i got this problem.

As you can see in the image attached, subcategories (marked as 2 in photo) from category (marked 1 in photo) keep showing in main content page, although i have checked the products field in admin. What is wrong?

I rephrase my question...

How can i hide the No2?

I tried through the admin (by checking the products box) but it stills showing the subcategories.

In the /templates/pages_default.tpl
in the (about) 12th line you can see:
$sSubpagesList

delete this line.

I did it and works fine. I hope it doesn't conflict with any other element through out the site
