Move submenu to the left column

I wan't to move the submenu to the left column, outside of parent menu. I'm using top menu for main category and submenu on the left column, bellow menu_4.

I have manage to move $sSubpagesList to the container.tpl and it works fine when browsing in categories. But when i reach products, the submenu is gone. Is there any chance that i can make $sSubpagesList also on the page with products?

That's helpfull, but it doesn't fix my problem.

I'll try to explain a bit more

I have moved $menu4 to the head layer. This is main menu. And since it's height is fixed i can't open submenus there, because it would mess up layout. So i'm trying to move the submenus to the content layer on the left, where menus are normaly.

Here's how it looks.

When i select PAGE TWO the submenu in shown, but when i select any of the submenus that have products, whole menu is gone. I'm using $sSubpagesList from pages_default.tpl, that i have just moved to container.tpl inside the left column.

I have found similar topic for quick.cms here http://opensolution.org/Quick.Cms/forum/?p=readTopic&nr=735. This is great, but it doesn't work on quick.cart.

Yes...i have tried that already, but it doesn't change anything. I'm using 3.0 version.

I have added in action_client/p.php

No change. $sSubpagesList are still gone after i select category with products.

Any chance of getting this to work on quick.cart?

I can't. It's inside company's intranet. Can i paste some code or something?

I have tried some things, but every time i make page with products, the submenu in hidden. Even if there are no products inside. It's enough to just tick the checkbox in the page properties, to enable products. The submenu is gone.

Any more ideas? What am i doing wrong.
