List products directly in left menu

I would like to list the products of a certain category in the left menu, e.g.

- Category1
---- product 1
---- product 2
---- product 3
- Category 2
- Category 3

I tried to find the solution in the FAQ and Search option but couldn't find it.

use the redirect feature. Pages from left menu would redirect to http address of the product. This is VERY easy to do.

This pic here shows edited page with field 'address' where you need to input http address of the product you want to redirect to from this page:

I need this feature too...

The redirect is good, if you have some product,
but if you have many product...
so that's very difficult.

Hi there, I still didn't find a satisfying solution for this. I tried the redirect option, but it has some disadvantages.

- The administrator will have to perform some extra steps for every product he adds or removes. Which can be hard to keep track of when there are a lot of products involved. However, this isn't the biggest the issue.

- I'm more concerned by the fact that clicking a product closes the left menu. So a visitor will have to click the category link again in order to see the other products within this category. This isn't really user-friendly...

Any other suggestions?

left menu can be left open all the time, as far as I know. ever since QC ver. 3.2 upwards, I think. You can set it in admin>settings.

Yes, that's right, it can be left open. But this means all categories will be open.

I only want the active category to be open, so only after clicking it. Pretty much like a normal menu functionality.
