Can't see Basket things in Language != english

When I add a product in german and assign it to a german page, the product is shown correctly, but I can't see the button to add it to the basket nor the basket link in top of the page. Doing the same steps in english, everything works fine!
Why?

Copying the content (/db) from english (en_*.php) to german (de_*.php), renaming "function en_*" to "function de_*" in all de_*.def.php files and renaming "*basket*" to "Warenkorb" in de_pages.php helped - but this seems more like a quick fix than a solution to me because obviously all german content is lost and the english content is displayed in german, doing this.

problem is that you didnt set up pages to "basket page" and "order page" in configuration

cyjem : I wrote today a long message about all of this in post "Install problem when changing language"

The architecture of QC is rather complex, and manual modifications are not recommended at all.

Read my message, then build your entire site in German, then copy your data in German datafiles (by duplicating en_ files to de_ ones).

A detailed tutorial on all of this is currently being written (by me).
