How to upgrade db from 2.2 ext to 3.2 ext ?

Hello,

I did a search on the "upgrade" keyword and all what I found (in English) was a commercial offer to do such job.

Is there a free utility to convert a 2.2 db to 3.2 ? I tried to copy the 2.2 db files into the 3.2 folder, but the results were not exactely what I expected :-(
