Hello,

What are the steps to upgrade from a free version of QC3 to a paid version ?
Can it be done easily or is a lot of steps and editing involved ?

Main problem is to convert database.. You have to compare files with schemas (ending by ".def") and count fields which were added. When You know how many fields are new than You have to add to every single record in file with data this number of characters $.. New files with data You can leave blank and everything should works.. What about design .. File templates/default.css is almost the same in free and paid version (one difference is in search form but it is easy to mark..). New elements You will have to adapt to Your design..

Thanx for the swift answer. I think it would be better to just install a fresh paid version and start all over again ....

Sounds like a heck of a work to upgrade.

if you have ten-twenty of products, then it's easier to just install a fresh installation.

If you have hundreds of pages/products, it's definitely much worth to convert the damn thing.

I am surprised the coverter doesn't come with QC ext or pro. It's a sabotage of business for OpenSolution guys.

I have the same problem. I should put one by one almost 1000 item.

Any other solution?
