try this hack: have your e-mail address displayed on a picture that you display on the contact page like: johny@email.com
that way people can contact you, everyone know how to send an e-mail. Contact form is not a neccessity.

ok I think I have a better solution that will help a lot of people:

First of all you have to download a few files from my website...ok I have put them in a zip file call contact_form.zip

http://www.wdromania.com/contact_form.zip

Now you have a few steps:

Step1: unpack in to your desire foder (I have put in in root/templates/contact)

Step2: read the instalation file where you will see that you have to edit the config file

Step3: you have to create a template for this contact form... is easy just take the pages_default.tpl duplicate this file and give the name : pages_contact.tpl

Step4: edit the new created template and add the next code before <!-- END CONTAINER -->

<div align="center">
<div style="width:540px;height:860px">
<IFRAME src="templates/contact/form.php" style="width:540px;height:860px;" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" title="Formular de contact"></IFRAME>
</div>

Save the template and upload it in folder templates/

that is all.... now the only thing that you have to do is to go in the admin area to pages and create a contact page and from the options you go to View and from template option you chose you new created template for the form.

It should work just fine, by me is ok... I'm sure that someboady with skills can enhance the script so if you do just post it here for all of us.

The contact form has also a spam protection.

Pls let me know if this helps the ones like me. :)

it's an overkill for a small QC contact form but it probably works.
Nice one :-)

BTW QuickCart 3.x has a lot of infrastructure for this in place, you just need to add a little code to the actions_client and have a template in place. I had to remake the simple contact form in Quick.CMS to a heavy order-form and while doing it I found out that merely by adding several lines of code you can have a fully functional form in Quick.CMS 2.x or Quick.Cart 3.x.

you are right but that was the solution that I had think of and is working if you have a solution that use the existing code from quick cart can you please post it here?

of cource I cannot. I will not sabotage hard work of someone else (in this case OpenSolution guys). I am a small-time developer myself and I know I'd like to be paid at least a little for my work.

If you want to use a nice QC contact form, you should buy the ext or pro version of QC. Or program it yourself.

ok you are right, but I had the impression that on this board is allow to discuss about changes on a free version and yes is normal to buy the pro version if you know exactly what you want...for now I just play with the free version

culda_a, your link http://www.wdromania.com/contact_form.zip seems to be broken!.. Could you fix it, if you please? I'll be very grateful, if you do! And lots of people too, I'm sure.
