Sort Product

I know I can sort product by set the position but this field has been limited to 3 numbers.I've at least 3000 product.how can I remove this limit?
I wanna product, listed in date of added.
any suggestion?

I think it's easy to change when modifying the underlying template in templates/admin/ ... that is, if you add the products by hand. If you do it by a script and the QuickCart doesn't allow more than 3 numbers, you have to ask the QC author to do this.

Just find this line in templates/admin/products.tpl


<input type="text" name="aPositions[$aData[iProduct]]" value="$aData[iPosition]" class="inputr" size="2" maxlength="3" />

and change maxlength value.

Yes in Quick.Cart 3.x it's possible just edit file db/en_products.def.php and change order of variables in array $aFieldsSort. After save products this array telling by which fields products should be sorted..

ok,makaron. I did that but now the last product added , coming in last page.I like when I add product, it come in first page(page 1) not last page .
