Hi, I'd like to run quickcart in two languages (italian and english) in the frontend, is there a way to put a language selector?
Furthermore, how can I publish the same product and/or category in the two languages?
Thanks

Here you go, it was in the manual:
http://opensolution.org/Quick.Cart/docs/?id=instruction#languages_management

Furthermore, you need to have basically two different e-shops with virtually identical products (unless you use my proprietary plugin, I do recommend, check here: http://opensolution.org/Quick.Cart/forum/?p=readTopic&nr=5238).

There is currently no way to publish the same product in these two e-shops at the same time, because the product could have different descriptions in those two languages. Unless you just copy the db files every time you update one shop.

btw, I have created a new "page" in each language-shop, that page redirects directly to the other language-shop with the link from the QC manual.

That "page" belongs to the upper-most menu, thus the menu has a link to another language-shop (and in another language-shop the link points to this language-shop).

Hi beholder,
thank's for your quick reply. Now I'm facing a strange problem in frontend. After I've created the italian language from english language file (there are three langs it, en and pl at the moment), when I click the italian language in the frontend all seems to disappear (existing content and menu over the header). Can you please explain why that happened?
Thank you very much.

Sure.

When you create a new language, there is no existing content in the databases belonging to the new language. You need to create that content, basically, you need to create another e-shop within the same installation of QC 3.x. You do that by selecting that language in the administration and creating basket page, order form page, search results page etc. Everything must be created anew. You then allocate the new pages to be the default pages in administration>settings>pages.

Yeah. I see your point! Thank you very much!
