Hi, i was wondering if the free version enabled you to like on this page:
http://www.korumaailma.fi/product_details.php?p=1592
select the size of a ring, or any extra kind of options, would this be difficult to code yourself? Is there any documentation on doing coding like this for quick cart?

Ok, i just realised that the pro version has product attributes, which would be exactly what i required, is there any way to just have to pay for that option, since i definately do not need anything else from the pro package :|

You are not alone. Many users want ProductAttributes plugin but it is available only in Pro version. I also don't need other features from package :-/ I'm disposed pay for this pluging but don't want all pro version.

Yeah, was just thinking that this company will probably be updating in the future, but i dont wan't to give them a full blown version untill they learn to use the basic functions, still i think attributes is a pretty esential part of a webshop and don't see why it cant be a basic function :|

Ok It seems there is an old plugin called product atributes, for an older version of quick cart, is there some way to convert it or directly load it to the newest version? Or would it just be easier to use the old version and apply it there? For example i have no /js folder in the new version, instead i have a plugin folder..

While I appreciate what you guys are saying and I'd love to be able to buy a plug-in for specific needs rather than all the Pro features I have already made a request and told that they use to have it modulated but that was causing other issues so have gone with the free and pro versions.

I support this but just wish the Pro was not that pricey 129 Euro is like $220 AUD :( and as a small start-up even this small amount is to much at this stage....

Cheers

look, if you find a developer who can make this for you more cheaply, go for it. That's what open source is about. In my country an hour of developer's work is about 15-20 Euro. This particular solution would probably take 4 man-hours, which can be up to 80 Euro.
Now, compared to the QC PRO and its many useful plugins -- it's much more feasible just to buy PRO and be done with it. UNLESS you want to make your solution free, in that case it would make sense to develop it in-house. Otherwise not.

beholder, I understand what your saying and agree whole heartedly.

However price has a big bearing. I use an another script that is a lot lot cheaper (admittedly not as nice) for some other projects for online editing of files and have been happy to buy that at $32 USD per copy and have not bought 17 copies of it so far so really the developer of that script is getting ongoing continued business from me. If it was priced at 129 Euro I probably would not have bought any.

If the QC and Q CMS were cheaper I would probably switch a number of those sites to Q CMS and QC (paid versions) which could result in 10+ sites using it and that list would grow. So you see price per copy will in the end get more sales versus a higher price that is what I was trying to suggest.

Cheers

Sorry for typos above - should read 'now bought' instead of 'not bought'

perhaps you could have some "volume" licence negotiated with the authors of the QC, or maybe just pay for that 1 plugin for multiple licences. Just write to their e-mail, I doubt they would refuse this kind of money.
