Issues and questions

Hello, all. I downloaded the latest version of Quick.Cart and I love it. Really easy to use and a great layout.
But I have a few questions on modification of the system.

Here's what I want to do:

1) I need to set up two separate contact forms. One for feedback and comments, and the other to request a catalog for my store.
2) I need to add an extra field in the catalog request. (Not really a problem, but I can't get it to save into the database.)
3) When an order is placed, it should send a confirmation email to the customer, and the order email to the administrator's email address.

Now, I've done a decent amount of research, and looked through the code, but I'm having issues. Namely, how do you add an extra field's contents to the database.
Secondly, what is required (exactly) to send emails with the system? None of the test orders I've placed have been going out.

There is one other thing I'd like to do, but it really isn't as important. I'd like to implement a user/pass login system so that when a returning customer visits the site, all they have to do is log in, and when they place an order, all of their prior information is displayed with the option to change addresses, etc.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

chaoskreato - hmm.. you ask more ... most of you want is will be much to do. I cant give you advice how to do it. Maybe you can talk with web developers and ask them to do it for you.

Contact form - this is in paid version but only one contact form
Extra fields - ask web developers:

Confirmation email - use freeware plugin sendOrderToClient

Users - this is in paid version Quick.Cart.Ext

Thank you for the reply. I think I may have everything in hand. I'm considering building my own system. Daunting task, but I think I can do it.

Damn flat files... Everything would be so much easier if my client had a SQL server.
