In which file can I add a statcounter (or other statistics counter) code, it looks like this :

The best place to add statistics is the Footer. You should add this code in file templates/container.tpl in the block FOOT just before the </body> element.

You should use the "search option" before You ask the question on forum.

I did search in the forum & doc probably for wrong keyword, will try harder next time.. Thanks very much for the link & explanation.
