How I can edit front page in admin

Hello,
when I login administration there is front empty page. My question is how I can add my texts and links and some other on this empty page ? I would like use it for big icon menu in admin. Can somebody help me ? :-) thanks

Thanks but, I would like to display some new page with my graphic menu and I dont know how I can create new page to administration.
If i create new page to admin the example can help me.
Please help me how I can add new page in admin with my content.

KUKY - add new category and after in configuration choose this page as start page

treewood - I can add new page. Bud I would like add new page to administration. In administration is pages like "Categories, Config ..." and I would like to add my new page to administration with my content (text and pictures) and I dont know how I can add. What file I must add and what files I must edit.
Please help me.
