New Version Question

With the onset of version3.0 (almost here) I have a question - v3 is wrapped in a CMS container (QuickCMS) and has the ability to add/delete pages etc.

However, if a person just wanting the cart structure, such as 1x thru 2.2x - are they going to be [hard-pressed] to remove all the unnecessary pages etc from their design?

Or is a version of the cart (just the shop only) going to be supported? I think in the beginning, te QuickCart was a way to have a shop rather easily - but as it appears now the focus has changed from a shop, to a CMS site with shop inside.

So, if a user just wanted the shop - will the cart be available as a stand alone product or will it be permanently wrapped into the CMS?

I'm just asking!! - Don't get all crazy on me........

idaryl - no there is no stand alone shopping cart. Quick.Cart v2.x and older have CMS but very poor. Many users asked as to move QC to QCMS and we do it. Now there is same basic architecture ... we think it is better because before QC v3.x webdeveloper need to learn 2 different scripts and different architecture. For example categories/pages in Quick.Cart displayed another way as in Quick.Cms. Now are the same and when user will learn how work Quick.Cart then will be very easy to learn Quick.Cms.

OK thanks Treewood, just wondering - the reason behind the question is that I use the cart (inside) another design, and having then to strip out all the unnecessary parts (IE: headers etc) takes time - now the new version will be equally as time consuming to implement to another design/layout - thats all...
