Talia713![]() 2008-01-28 13:24 | I've been having numerous customers trying to add items to the basket on my website and it's not working. My website host/designer is impossible to get a hold of. Can someone help me get my site back up and running please. » Quick.Cart v1.x |
ned2008-01-28 14:41 | Can you provide its URL as we might see if any error messages generate? |
Talia713![]() 2008-01-28 16:18 | www.graphicsbyid.com is the website |
Talia713![]() 2008-01-28 16:20 | Heya ned.... |

Talia713![]() 2008-01-29 14:50 | Guess that's where the problem comes in. I didn't set up or create this site. It was created for me. I have no control over what the person used.....but If I am able to make these changes on my own I'd like to as getting in touch with him is impossible! Nice guy eh? |
Talia713![]() 2008-01-29 15:37 | If anyone that can help me out is willing to shoot me an email I'd greatly appreciate it. I'd like to get the site how it needs to be...I just need a little direction. |
idaryl2008-01-30 03:52 | When you are in your admin area are the older orders there? Use an editor an look at your db/orders.php file - is the listings of all the orders there? does it start with (1$xxxxxxxxx$1$) or something beginning with 1. |
idaryl2008-01-30 09:34 | Did you look at the files? |
Talia713![]() 2008-01-30 16:41 | idaryl, yes the orlder orders are still there however, when I click on orders, the names and order id are there but nothing is under the STATUS section. |
idaryl2008-01-31 04:13 | What are you trying to do? First you say the site is not working -- then you say it is -- and the orders are being processed -- then you say the orders status is not there (but how did you see the recent order if the status is not working - ??) then you say for someone to help you get the site "the way it shpuld be" (whatever that may be) |
Talia713![]() 2008-01-31 04:41 | Here is the problem. I was at order id 2036. I signed in to the admin panel the following day after I received an email stating I had a new order! |
idaryl2008-01-31 06:05 | OK yeah it does - it looks like (and this really s__ks!) that your orders.php file has gone south - this appears to,be a problem that only having a back-up of an earlier copy of the php page can fix (do you have one?) Here's an idea? make a copy of the orders.php and rename it orders.txt - then post a link to it jere - I'll copy it and do a couple of tests for you - no guarantees - but - I'll give it a whirl - OK? |
Talia713![]() 2008-01-31 07:13 | I'm glad that made sense, but now here is where the next problem comes into play. I am not the one who built the site so I am not sure how to make the needed/necessary changes. If you can direct me, I can do it. |
idaryl2008-01-31 09:01 | Thats not what I'm talking about - my tests are going to cover copying the raw data to a new file - re-inserting it to a new cart for results - and the re-insert to an existing /working cart to verify - if it works then you'll have your database back - all that simply cannot be accomplished from the admin panel - and..... it would simply take me way tooooo long to show you how (especially if you say you "I have no clue how to use an editor") |
Talia713![]() 2008-01-31 14:45 | So basically I'm SOL! |
