This is my order file. As you can see, I get all of a sudden, extreme orer numbers. What is the reason for this? I work with V1.4 loaded.

nicarcola - the new order is added while adding product to basket, so the reason can be that some robots were clicking "add to basket" button, and make so many inserts to the file. There were in the paste few topic similar to your, so you can search for them.

Is it possible to be more specific. I mean where have all the other order numbers of those robots(?) gone to.

I can't find the similar topics and the topics I can find don't answer this problem.

nicarcola - what you can do is to remember (save) this orders with big id numbers which have 1 in last column (only this are real orders) and then delete all lines with big id. The next time when the order will be save it will take the last id to ganerate id for new order.

nicarcola - I don't know what caused this, but it is rather not dangerous. You are first person who has this problem, so it is rare situation and as I said not dangerous.

Hi.
I recently implemented Quic.Cart and have a problem similar to the one above.

Merci. How would you prefer all of deleting the $0 at the end of all lines (code and file)?
If someone is online an you delete the "$0" orders they will loose the order they (perhaps) generate.

It´a a quite tricky issue, as one has to refer the order ID´s to the local authorities (TAX).
They simply won´t believe, when jumping up and down in order ID´s .

Iny good idea`?

Why generate an empty order at the beginning?
Why not storing the data in a session variable?
THEN generate the order number IF the order has to be generated?
I don´ t how to do it but after concidering it for some hours it could maybe solve the issue?

Any good ideas?

renu - we know about this, we want to improve it in new version - 3.x but in older version we are not able to change it.

This (above) REALLY looks strange...

I think that I´ll try to implement "ignoring" the creation of order numbers until they are a reality (submittet).

Eventually an OnUnload event warning (IE) when leaving the shop (if something in the cart/basket) could help here.
Any ideas on how to implement this?

It´s Christmas an perhaps the great OpenSolution guys are giving away goodies ;=)

But I find answer !

The orders.php file first line should be:
<?php exit; ?>

But it is not there, the line was disappear suddenly today.

If you add this line back to orders.php and delete wrong orders from files:
-orders.php
-orders_ext.php
-orders_products.php
-orders_payment.php

Then it works again.

This should be a bug !

nicarcola, ahahto - i think that You have this problem because some robots from google or yahoo etc. come on Your server and follow links "add to cart" from products list and file colapse. Edit templates/products_list.tpl and add to "cart" link something like that rel="nofollow". Maybe some robots will not follow this link to basket and file will be not demaged.

this really is an important bug, the orders db gets corrupted here every 3 months or so. In different versions of QC with 2.0 and higher. I was trying to report it before.
The culprit is always missing <?php exit; ?> in the beginning and various irrelevant order numbers or lines like 97905466$$$$

ahahto - as You see MJ12bot add products to Your basket. If this bot dont use rel="nofollow" there is another way to solve. Edit products_list.tpl and change

to

Most bots dont use form fields

I am using QC Pro, SEO and productsinrow modules and orderbasket link is different. Currently I have "rel=nofollow" attribute in link and it was working.
