Start page

I'm trying to get the start page to be a custom page with images. I'm using 1.4 and have searched the forums. I found that you can add a category, but then it just comes up and says No Products found, go back.

Any help appreciated.

lifointegrity1 - maybe I misunderstand you, but if you want to have for example site "about us" as start page it is enought to change it in configuration in admin panel.
