I am tryiing to change the file permission for the folder Db, File, and Config to 777 but i failed. i have used "FastTrackFTP" and "FTP Voyager" to upload my folders to the webhost directory using binary transfer. When i try to change the file attributes, the ftp says that the change happened successfully but when i go back to check nothing has changed. the Files stay on 666 permissions.
Can anyone help me please?
I also installed SSH Secure Shell to change the permissions but all the time the programs say that it fails to connect to the ftp server of my webhost.
Where do you think the problem is??

uk.hamza - try maybe to use TotalCommander, I never has problem with changing chmod via this program.

Thank you very much. I have eventually be able to change it from my webhost control panel. I actually have used many of these FTP including TotalCommander, but i failed.
