fields removal from orders_delivery - problems with checkform

i want to remove some fields from the orders_delivery page such as "last name" and "delivery options".

i did it on the orders_delivery.tpl, but when i submit a order it returns the message asking to fill correctly all fields. i guess that i should change something on the checkform.js, but i tyied with no success..

i would be fine if i could disable the checkform functions, (i tried it too, but im not good with js.)

does someone know how to do that?
