Hi.

Well, everything used to work just fine.

But now a customer told me I have a problem. I cheked and this is it:

When you add some products in cart, no matter what quantity you choose (clicking the Update button in cart), all of the products get to be the same quantity - the larger one. For ex if I have 1 car, 2 cakes and 4 flowers and I want just 1 cake, I write 1 in the box for cakes and press Update. So, suddenly I have in cart 4 cars, 4 cakes and 4 flowers. And this is annoyinmg to customers and they don't order anymore.

Plus, I put in cart 2 products and when I looked I had suddenly 642 - the same product 320 times x 2.

Now, I guess it's either a bug or ... an error.
Please, please help.

roxanacaz - i dont know why that works. Maybe attributes plugin have problem with that. Best ... update to Quick.Cart v2.x. This version is less buggy and have more new options. Problem is that You will lose attributes etc. plugins.

The problem with the update is that itt doesn't have the same way of displying the images... you know, that fading effect... and there were some other things, I don't remember now.

Hi... i found out what the problem is....
I've been hacked. Thank you, hacker! I was left a file to let me know in db folder
Now I have to see what the exact solution is

Well, I hope someone has a solution, because I'm getting desperate.
They messed with my db files... and if I try for example to install v2.2 and convert from 1.4.... the error is still there - this means it has to do with db - or maybe files folder - but I suppose it's db - there I found their "signature", a file named "f*****.html"

So.... please! I need help! I'd like to upgrade then buy it, but if I can't move the products without the error... what's the point?
How can I tell what they did?
How can I prevent his from happening? Does db folder need to be chmoded 777?

OK, it's late and I guess I'm not making any sense :)

I hope I find a "night in shining armour" here. :)

try to install clear copy of Quick.Cart v1.4 or v 1.4 Loaded and copy you database there, maybe that will work, if yes compare files of that versions you can find where is problem
another thing you can try to copy database to that clear version and clear it, then add something and check again, that means that problem is in db/ files

I am having the same problem. My customers cannot order from my site because any time they want to update the quantity of one item, the update is applied to ALL the items in the cart.

Can you guys check out my site and suggest what I might do?

As a follow up: Also, if I delete one item, they ALL are removed from the cart. It is as if the database is giving the same ID number ot every item in the cart, even though when you look at the raw data, this isn't the case...

HELP?

merci

cancunvalet - have you done what wewior wrote? Install clear copy of Q.C from download and copy your database there- if there will be no problem - compare files, maybe you will find what is wrong. If it wouldn't help, write here again.
