What I am trying to do is this: I have a catalogue with 32 pages and 63 products. Once a guest enters my page, he should be able to browse through the 32 catalogue pages with "back" and "forward" buttons. This means that each page will only hold a scanned in image from one entire catalogue page.
If a customer clicks on any product within such catalogue page, he should see a product detail page and should be able to order an arbitrary quantity of it.
I was thinking of simply creating those 32 catalogue pages as image with an image map and link from there to the 63 product detail pages managed by the shop solution.
Heres a thought - setup an inital opening page - and define it as the start page (from the admin area - configuration) then in the long desc add code for an iframe (fits the container size - I think its about 750px) and point the content of the iframe at your catalog index page -
Here's where the fun begins - generate all your shop pages and from the address bar, copy each url for each item and attach that address to the corresponding link in your catalog items pages etc, etc - make sure the target is to the "_parent" that should then open the window to the page that has the item in the shop...
