I have created a cart for this site and have set up my database using a text editor and now when I open the catalog I do not see any products until I open the admin section in another tab then all of the products show up as they should. do you have any ideas about what could be happening.

lstecker - true that there is no products but ... i cant check that their exits. Maybe create www.poms4fun.com/qc/test/ and there give access to admin to check.

I have created a test site at http://poms4fun.com/test/admin.php with username of admin and the same password for you to look at.

Thanks for your help with this.

http://poms4fun.com/test/
Here products are visible in list "new products!"

http://www.poms4fun.com/qc/
Here not

This is the same version in test as in qc?

It is a direct copy of the qc directory, the only difference is the login information, I just tried it myself and am unable to view the New Products.
