I am working with v1.4 loaded. I cannot upload an image with a product or category. The permissions of files and products are 777. So what else can be the problem? When I save the product it says that everything has been saved, But, the image isnt there?
Any suggestions?

Hil, I couldn´t upload any picture too, I tried everything, read all the topics, but nothing helped. No images on my web. But it exist maybe harder way, but it works - for me.
1/ Upload your foto via ftp to your web. For example foto1.jpg. So now adress of your photo is www.yourweb.com/foto1.jpg 2/ Go to admin, products and go to add product. In the field where you write details of your product just writte:
You can change size of photos by changing numbers in "width" and "height" and "align" left-right (or you can erase "align left" completly) in second line. I tryed also change numbers in the first part, but nothing happeeds. This way of uploading fotos you can use not only in text fields for details, but also in main brief description field..
I know, its only an alternative way, but I don´t mind its bit harder, but it helps me.. Hope it works for you too. Good luck!
OK it's a suggestion, but no more than that. You have to be a nurd understanding this solution. For someone who doesn't know anything about html and FTP this isn't an solution. The way it ought to work in the admin is a user friendly way an normal man can understand.
So why doesn't that work. Is it the program, is it the provider? I don't understand because quick cart says that the data has been saved and no error occurred!

nicarcola - check if you have installed library gd2 on your server. All requirements needed are describe here: http://opensolution.org/Quick.Cart/docs/?id=requirements
and in file config/general.php comment out line with code:
error_reporting( E_ALL );
It doesn't solve the problem, but show us what is wrong. Some errors should appear.

h4ndz - check if your server have copy() function enable, as from first error I see that there is the problem...

I have tried at least 5 hostings to the date - paid, free all have latesd GD and Php - but uploading images doesnt work anywhere.
On the one Im getting that errors I have posted and on the most of others Im getting -

Hi guys:
I have come across this topic that few people suffer from uploading pictures. I have the same problem uploading my pictures.
Before posting my question i have tried all what has been offered in this page.
I have commented what "merci" requested, and at this stage i don't see "data saved " comment but instead an empty page leading to no where.
Does anyone solved this problem? Please Please urgently needed

another strange thing that i came across is when you upload a file other than an image (e.g. word document), it's uploaded successfully. Why a doc and not an image?
Are the jpgs you are uploading, progressive or standard? sometimes I've noticed that progressive files either don"t display well or at all, but when saved as standard (non=progressive) jpgs they seem to work

Thank you very much for your answer. The problem still as it is, no changes at all. I have even tried all image format, from jpg progressive, jpg standard to png and gif. None worked!!

uk.hamza - do you try to search forum for similar topics?? I remember there were some... for example http://opensolution.org/Quick.Cart/forum/?p=readTopic&nr=363 and if you will not find the solution, maybe ask server admin about that, sometimes servers have some restrictions.
