IE 7, firefox problem in the left menu

Hi,
If i use two or more words in the left menu, the line-images between menu points keep the same distance, even if the text would need more space.
In Internet Explorer 6 it was fine, but in firefox and IE 7 I found the bug you can see here:

tomsza - edit templates/default.css and:
1. find #column, #menu1 to change width of left menu
2. find #menu1 dt a, #menu1 dd a to change height of links in menu
