New field in "add product"

This is actually asked here before (i think), but i didn't find it so i ask it.

How can add extra field in "add product" so that the info in that field is saved in product details in its own "place" ?

And i also need some way to "call" that line in template like others.

I'm trying to port old custom powered webshop (and its layout) to use QC, but i need "warranty" field :) because the layout have and "special place" for warranty information.

In QC v2.0 some functions was changed but if You know PHP You will find solution for that.
