is there a limit on number of keywords that can be used in the admin on a Quick.Cart site?

I am using QC 1.4 Loaded.

Is there anyway I can increase this?
How about if I type the keywords directly into the page rather than use the admin configuration file? Is this possible? I want to use about 40 keywords and phrases...

nam - You shouldn't (for search engines) but if You want edit templates/admin/config_form.tpl and delete maxlength="255"

I didn't know you shouldn't use too many keywords. I wonder why? I'll need to read a few articles sometime because I know nothing about this.
