Problem with adding a new language ?

Hi ,
After copying a new .php language file (such as vn.php) to lang directory ,I go to admin page .Then chose configuration , change default language to another (vn,..) and click button save .I received a message said similarly that "data save correctly".But when I go back to homepage, the homepage is blank .This similar to others .
Help me !

in which version? if in 2.0 you should add files with vn_* in db/ directory and add file lang_vn.php in config directory

I'm using ver 2.0.
Can you explain in more detail ?
I don't understand what vn_* mean and from where lang_vn.php can be downloaded ?

Hey, I'm using v2.0 too and have some problems with using utf-8 for the site. I've search "utf" in this forum and found some solutions from others. No one could solve problms. Everything I typed when insert data can display on front page correctly. But what I want is translate quickcart into vietnamese. Please help! :-(

open the the file vn.php or what ever you used , in folder lang and change it to utf-8.

Thanks for your reply. I've encode vn.php file in utf-8 using notepad++ and my site can not run correctly. It say there is error somewhere on line XX of index.php or admin.php. I have read and do exactly as solutions found in this forum but nothing seems to be solve. Is there any other solution for this? Please let me know in a bit more detail if you can. Thanks again.

Hi,
D'ont encode the file in utf-8 code.You have to write the vietnamese,that you want to display and change this in to Uni&# like that : Sản Phẩm -> Sản Phẩm .please visit this Site and download the Mviet-X Program to write and change code :www.mviet.org

thanks mgo, problem now is mviet. Hic..! It's an easy way to have Vietnamese text. But how to change the text from "Sản Phẩm" --> "Sản Phẩm" with mviet?

Ha...! It seems very good to use this forum I think. Every VNmese character I typed here auto change when post it into forum. Like this..."lằng nhằng". Haha..
