1.4 - No email to customer, Text only to Admin, cannot select "HTML & Text"

I'm only getting text messages sent to Admin, and no mails at all to customer. When I select "HTML & Text" option (Config/plugins), it doesn't stay selected.

In 2.0 htmlMailOrderDetails configuration, all mail settings are at their default and Email Order to Admin is selected, Email Order to Client is selected.

Sendmail: Path /usr/sbin/sendmail

Qmail : Path /var/qmail/bin/sendmail

SMTP: Hosts smtp.email.com

SMTP: Port 25

SMTP: Auth (unchecked)

Show Email Body and Stop: (unchecked)

I know basic HTML only, (but can find PHP elements and change/add/delete them, etc. Using IE 6.0 SP 1., QC 1.4

Very grateful for any help.

Have you given chmod 777 to - 'plugins/htmlmailorderdetails/config.php' ? Could help but don't know if it will fix your problem.

Jo - I didn't have that before, do now - but, it didn't help. Sure appreciate your help, though.

Seems like I remember something from reading a post on here, about a Paypal form interfering - not sure. I recently added a Paypal form from one of the posts (for a Paypal button on the final screen after "Your order has been saved~", but not sure if it was even working before that.

I'll have to remove it and see what happens.

aah I wasn't sure if you were using Paypal so I didn't mention that - read this thread:

I had the same problem with emails but reading that post fixed it all :)

Jo - that sounds encouraging!

I'm a bit tied up at the moment, but will be back soon as I can to read that post entirely (just checked it out briefly), and let you know what happens.
