Would like top horiz. menu to show bkg. color, upon hover, just like the vertical menu does, in 1.4, instead of showing the underline. Please.

Well, I am an idiot, yes? (don't answer!) Didn't put anything in the body of my previous post.

Would like top horiz. menu to show bkg. color, upon hover, just like the vertical Categories menu does, in 1.4, instead of showing the underline. Please.

Using 1.4, but not much else to say about it I reckon - very grateful for any help, as usual.

justplumducky - add to templates/default.css in 'navi' section

#navi li a:hover{display:block;padding:0 18px;font-size:12px;font-weight:bold;letter-spacing:1px;color:white;
background-color: #aaa9a9;}

and it should do the trick.

It sure did do the trick Mr. Claps! Thank you!

Then, I went searching apparently related, and apparently not related pages for the term, "underline", thinking I would discover & remove, a line of code that controlled the underline in Content menu (since it now lights up the bkgd), and you know, of course, what I found....Nothing!! (nothing related, anyway). I know only limited, basic HTML, and not a great deal of experience at that, even.

However Mr. Claps..... I stared at the code long enough in default.css to think that maybe adding "text-decoration:none" to the snippet (I think it's called) you gave me, might counter the "global link styles" underline action.

Well....Mr. Claps, I'm so proud of myself!! I'm an expert now! I'm an expert now! :O)

Thank you Claps!
