Hide a category to be displayed in productList

How to hide a category? I have a category with images of products larger that normal images. When i open "Products" the (special) products are there. I read some topics but nothing. I want to access that category from an external link. Thanks

Doesn't work for me. That tutorial hide you category from menu, not from productList
