I am a newbie and would like to know if it is possible to make a password protected area using a java script?

just use a htaccess program , a friend of me has build a program to do this easy , on the fly !
i can give you the link for this program ,
ones you fild in the apropiate fields then clik to up load the file and YES , you folder wil by protected, just make an new link in quick cart , a new category for instens name it login ,
and you can fill in the rest
