I want to change the index

Hi, I hope someone can help me.
I was asked to get rid of the index cataloug display and replace it with a picture of the store. In other words, I want to have no results displayed on the stores index.

What do I have to change in order for this to happen?

So, would anyone like to point me in the direction of how to make the store index not display results and display a picture instead?

If I understood well what you are asking about - create new category page (categories -> add category), in the form choose type of "content", place image in page.
Next step - go to configuration and set page which you previously created as start page.
Or describe your problem precisely
