How do I hide the product name on the product list?

It can be done by various methods.
You can change the CSS style to ( display:none ) for <h2> tag within productslist class,
or you can modify function listSubpages in core/pages.php

I'm sorry for misleading in your case the function to modify would be: listProducts in core/products.php
