Maintenance mode -- not available?

Is it really so? There is no maintenance mode in QC.

[I just started with QC last weekend. Sorry, if primitive newbie questions keep on comig. :/]

I mean the situation when, e.g., a bigger upgrade have to be done. It's not a good idea to keep the store open, if it's only a mess.

Only the front page is available. Links don't function. However, the customers and the bypassers see that the store IS there. They also may read the short message (E.g. "Due to maintenance we are closed today.")

In Open Cart it's just one click away.

1.You can prepare a separate page which you set in the configuration of the Main page. This page may contain only the selected options.
2.The EXT version contain plugin seoOptionsExt who also you can use this to get the maintenance mode.
