My cart has been working for over a year, but yesterday my web hosting company updated the server version of PHP from version 5.2 to 5.4
Since then, when I try and add a new product, I cannot do so, and get this error message:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Please help - what can I do to make the cart work with PHP 5.4?
Our scripts works also on latest versions of PHP, so for sure it is something with server configuration not php version. Please contact with your server admin, he will know what may the problem.
My host company sent me this email 2 days before the update to PHP 5.4:
"... If you have a custom PHP page you need to contact your web developer. If your page is simple you are unlikely to need anything changed, however some old features of PHP 5.2 will no longer be available..."
I have contacted them, and they told me that I was not the only client having a problem with the upgrade. There are a few functions in PHP 5.2 that have been removed in PHP 5.4 Whatever the reason, I get the "Internal Server Error" since the upgrade.
Do you have any ideas why I get this error? It is Linux server.
